It is thinner and lighter than regular Yachimun, making it more comfortable to use. Makai has a bright cobalt blue O crest that is reminiscent of Okinawa. "Makai" means "bowl" in the Okinawan dialect, and can be used as a bowl for cooking Okinawa soba, udon, and rice bowls.
