I asked Nishijinori Kohei Murata with the thoughts of this project.

The music workshop has been producing drag foil, one of the characteristics of Nishijin Ori, in Nishijin, Kyoto. We are still supporting and protecting the technology to weave foil with this drag, which is said to have been developed more than 1200 years ago.

"Now, what I can do is to convey the charm of Nishijin weave while protecting the kimono culture. I hope that my challenge will become a new tradition and lead to revitalization of the entire production area."

He talked about the chopstick project this time, based on the charm of staying, which is hard to touch.
